The small sign on the side of the station building lists the destinations as Torington 11, Bideford 16 and Barnstaple 24.
Those distances are miles and not kilometres of course this being the UK.

I have a special interest in the genre of mystical landscapes,gothic buildings and graveyards, crumbling castles,haunted houses,ruins, grotesques and gargoyles. If that station could talk then it would have many stories to tell. Nostalgic image.

The give away of course is the signs of nature starting to reclaim the building at the far end. In actual fact the station was first opened in 1925.
